About the Role
As an Assistant Acoustic Consultant, you will contribute to a variety of projects in architectural acoustics, environmental noise, and building services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out site surveys and measuring noise and vibration.
- Preparing technical reports and environmental assessments.
- Using software such as CadnaA and ODEON for acoustic modelling.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and developers to create tailored solutions.
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues as part of the team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy.
- A degree in acoustics or a related field.
- Membership in the IOA is a plus.
- Proficiency in acoustic modelling tools and knowledge of industry standards (e.g., BS4142, BB93).
- A practical approach and a genuine interest in acoustic design and environmental noise management.
