A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Technician to join its expanding infrastructure team in Welwyn Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Technician with experience in infrastructure and drainage design to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including residential, logistics, retail, commercial and data centres.
The Role
- Producing and reviewing civil engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Assisting with infrastructure, highways and drainage design projects
- Supporting site surveys and gathering technical information
- Developing 2D and 3D CAD models for infrastructure schemes
- Assisting with project coordination and technical approvals
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
- Supporting engineers with project delivery and technical reporting
- Ensuring designs comply with UK standards and client specifications
Requirements
- HNC/HND or degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design software
- Knowledge of drainage and infrastructure design principles
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment is desirable
