Sustainability Associate Location: Sheffield – Travel to Leeds Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 plus DOE A multi-award winning engineering consultancy is seeking an eager and passionate Sustainability Associate to join the team in Leeds. You will be part of a industry-leading team, contributing to high-impact projects across various sectors and helping advance sustainable design, construction and building operations. Key responsibilities: Lead sustainability projects across multiple sectors Oversee and review modelling outcomes Manage energy and simulation-based workstreams Mentor junior team members in Building Physics / Simulation Contribute to industry through research, guidance documents, and R&D studies Support the senior team with: development appraisals, line management, resourcing, fee proposals, business development Collaborate with Project and Operations leadsWhat we’re looking for: Technical and proficient knowledge in: energy strategies, planning support documentation, Building Regulations Part L compliance, in-use energy modelling (NABERS), Net Zero Carbon strategies, thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a sustainability or engineering consultancy Experience in the built environment sector Motivated by a serious commitment to sustainability Ability to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to clients Strong communication and collaborative working styleBenefits: 9 day fortnight working pattern Access to career development and technical training Private medical insurance Stock options Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme Up to 30 days annual leaveInterested?
