Are you a Senior Hydraulic Modeller who has Tuflow and Flood Modeller experience? Would you like to join and expand a new team based in Sheffield?
Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Hydrology or Civil Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside near Sheffield and have a keen interest in growing a team.
You will have the chance to manage projects, mentor staff, and develop opportunities across the North of England. You will receive support from the team in the South East of England.
This exciting role will offer you the chance to complete varied residential, commercial, and industrial projects for private and public sector clients. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will complete varied technical work, manage projects, and mentor new starters as the team grows. You will join an experienced team based across the UK but work autonomously in Sheffield.
You will complete:
- Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Flood risk assessments.
- Flood Estimation.
- Hydrological assessments.
- Natural flood management.
- Flood Alleviation Schemes.
- Flood risk mapping using ArcGIS.
- Support new team members and train others to complete hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Manage projects and liaise with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop new opportunities and ensure projects are delivered to time and budget.
