My Client, a specialist UK based Consultancy based across North of England, is searching for a Senior Transport Planner for the team in Newcastle. Alternative locations available, including Leeds.

As a Senior Transport Planner you will join an experienced team of Engineers based in Newcastle to complete and manage varied traffic and transportation projects for varied private sector clients across the North East. You will have the chance to complete transport projects for a range of sectors spanning residential, commercial, industrial, leisure developments, new homes/towns across the North.

Responsibilities

  • Transport Statements.
  • Transport Assessments.
  • Review and amend site layouts and provide travel/transport advice to clients.
  • Analyse traffic and speed surveys to prepare visibility splays using AutoCAD.
  • Travel Plans to support planning applications for a variety of sectors.
  • Co‑ordinate traffic, speed and parking surveys.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities and staff to discuss transportation designs and plans and to alleviate issues and design clashes.
  • Project Management and mentoring team members.
  • Develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients.

Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to have an MSc and/or BSc in Geography, Transport Planning or Civil Engineering and experience working as a Transport Planner completing travel plans and transport statements.
  • Candidates are required to have experience managing projects and mentoring team members.
  • You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with Clients across the region.
  • A full UK licence is also required and you are required to live in the North or the North East of England to work from the office on a hybrid basis.
