Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical lead on structural engineering projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.
- Undertake structural assessments and inspections of new and existing buildings in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Carry out structural analysis and design using industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak Building Designer.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys and condition assessments.
- Oversee the delivery of design outputs including calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical development and knowledge sharing across the team.
About You
Essential:
- Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
- Proven experience delivering structural designs across a variety of building types and construction methods.
- Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building regulations.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and working to deadlines.
