A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join its expanding infrastructure team in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to take a leading role in the delivery of major infrastructure and development projects across sectors including residential, logistics, commercial, industrial and data centres.
The Role
- Producing detailed civil engineering drawings and 3D design models using Civil 3D and related software
- Preparing highway, drainage and utility infrastructure designs in line with UK standards and best practice
- Supporting technical approvals and construction detail packages
- Coordinating design information across multidisciplinary teams
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities
- Managing project documentation and ensuring QA standards are maintained
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians and graduates
- Assisting engineers with project delivery and technical reporting
Requirements
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Strong experience within a civil infrastructure consultancy environment
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design
- Knowledge of MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and Vehicle Tracking software is desirable
- Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience mentoring junior team members is advantageous
