My Client, a market leading Building Services and Sustainability Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Avonmouth. This innovative consultancy specialises in electrical and building services designs for varied commercial, retail, educational and residential developments, with a focus on sustainable, low-energy retrofits and Passivhaus.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing diverse projects to life, from concept through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality electrical designs for buildings across a wide range of sectors, with a focus on Passivhaus and educational projects (University and Secondary Schools including accommodation blocks).
- Engaging in all stages of the project lifecycle and liaising with multidisciplinary teams in the office and on-site.
- Monitoring site progression, liaising with design and commissioning teams, supporting site installations and ensuring design compliance.
- Producing technical drawings and calculations for electrical systems and lighting (2D and 3D) using Dialux, Relux, Amtech and AutoCAD.
- Contributing to sustainable design solutions and low-carbon strategies.
- Representing the company at project meetings and client interactions suggesting innovative and sustainable solutions for developments.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be expected to have a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering and be close to chartered status. You will also be required to have experience working for UK based Consultancy completing electrical designs for buildings using Dialux, Relux and/or Revit. Experience designing for sustainable, Passivhaus and low-carbon projects would also be beneficial. You will also be required to have a working knowledge of British/European standards and Building Regulations and BREEAM and ideally have experience designing for mixed-use developments.
Whilst this opportunity offers flexible working, you will be required to work from the office on the outskirts of Bristol. You will also be required to have a valid driving licence to attend site visits across the region.
