A specialist acoustic consultancy is looking to recruit a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a relevant degree to begin their career in acoustics with a consultancy known for delivering high-quality work across a diverse range of projects.

Their team works across building acoustics, environmental noise and planning-related acoustics, providing technical input on projects ranging from residential and mixed-use developments through to commercial, infrastructure and public sector schemes.

The Role

As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will assist with the delivery of a wide range of acoustic projects. Working as part of an experienced team, you will gain exposure to both site-based and office-based work, developing practical and technical skills within the consultancy environment.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with environmental noise surveys and acoustic measurements
  • Supporting the preparation of technical reports and acoustic assessments
  • Contributing to planning and environmental noise assessments

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • A degree in Acoustical Engineering, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience within acoustics (placements, internships or dissertation projects) would be beneficial but is not essential.
