Aztrum Recruitment is working with a specialist networking and managed services provider to appoint an experienced Network Engineer. This organisation focuses exclusively on delivering high-quality, tailored networking solutions across enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud, and security environments.

The Role
You will play a key role in the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise networking environments. Working closely with senior engineers, stakeholders, and third-party vendors, you will help deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions for a varied customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy resilient enterprise network solutions
- Configure and manage routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless technologies
- Support SD-WAN, hybrid WAN, and cloud connectivity environments
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure
- Improve network performance, reliability, and security posture
- Conduct network audits, vulnerability assessments, and technical reviews
- Support automation and streamlining of network administration tasks
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and technology vendors on project delivery
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer position
- Strong technical understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- BGP
- OSPF
- Enterprise routing & switching
- Network security technologies
- VPNs and firewalls
- SD-WAN technologies
- Hands-on experience with technologies including:
- Cisco Meraki
- Fortinet
- NETGEAR
- Zyxel
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure networking environments
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting
- Experience delivering infrastructure and network-focused projects
Desirable Skills
- Windows Server administration
- Exposure to AWS / Amazon RDS
- Understanding of IT service management or project delivery methodologies
Certifications
- CCNP or equivalent experience required
- Additional certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, Scrum, or APM would be advantageous
