Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Leicester-based team.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Building Surveyor role:
- Lead and manage building surveying projects within the Education sector from inception through to completion.
- Deliver a range of professional services including condition surveys, dilapidations, defects analysis, and planned maintenance programmes.
- Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of work in line with client requirements and industry standards.
- Manage contract administration duties, including tendering, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Undertake site inspections and monitor works on site to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Support and mentor junior surveyors, contributing to their professional development.
- Keep up to date with building regulations, compliance requirements, and best practice within the Education sector.
Requirements for this Senior Building Surveyor role:
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
- Proven experience delivering building surveying services, ideally within the Education sector.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of surveying disciplines.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
