My Client, a specialist Geoenvironmental and Flood Risk Management Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join their team in Manchester. You will join a growing team of Flood Risk Consultants who specialise in flood risk appraisals and due diligence for Property Developers, Insurance Companies and Commercial Clients across the UK.
As a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant you will be a key part of the friendly and supportive team, providing advice to Clients to identify cost‑effective solutions to mitigate flood risk and ensure sites adhered to statutory requirements, prior to purchase.
Training & Responsibilities
- Risk assessments
- Targeting flood mitigation strategies
- Flood risk assessments
- Flood risk appraisals and pre‑acquisition due diligence
- GIS mapping
- Drainage strategies
- Mitigation strategies and provide advice prior to purchase
You will also have the chance in the upcoming months to be involved in site investigation works, hydraulic modelling and drainage design. This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working, training courses, benefits package and the chance to join a supportive team in Manchester. Alternative offices available in Bradford, if preferred! You will work from the office 2-3 days a week.
Qualifications
Candidates are required to have an academic background in Flood Risk Management, Environmental Management or Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments. A keen interest in GIS, drainage and ground investigations is also required.
