A well-established architectural practice is seeking a Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist to take a leading role in cladding remediation and fire safety upgrade projects across mid-rise and high-rise residential developments. This position focuses on technically complex remediation works, ensuring full compliance with current fire safety and building regulations.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architect / Senior Architectural Technologist role:
- Lead and oversee cladding remediation projects on residential buildings over 18m
- Coordinate the removal and replacement of non-compliant façade systems (e.g. ACM panels)
- Specify and implement compliant façade solutions including A2-s1,d0 materials and mineral wool insulation
- Manage installation of cavity fire barriers (horizontal and vertical) in line with current regulations
- Produce and coordinate detailed technical packages using Revit
- Oversee site-based technical resolution and respond to RFIs and design queries
- Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and fire safety standards
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Support BIM coordination and maintain accurate as-built and design models
Key Requirements for this Senior Architect / Senior Architectural Technologist role:
- Senior Architect, Senior Architectural Technologist, or Senior Architectural Technician level experience
- Strong experience in façade remediation or fire safety upgrade projects
- Excellent Revit proficiency (essential)
- Strong understanding of cladding systems, fire regulations, and building compliance
- Experience working on residential or mixed-use mid/high-rise developments
- Ability to manage technical detailing and coordinate complex construction packages
