An established and growing technology business is looking to appoint an ambitious Account Manager to join its commercial team. The Role

This is a consultative sales role focused on developing existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow accounts and win new business. You'll engage with IT leaders, business owners and senior decision-makers to understand their challenges around cyber security, data protection and resilience, recommending solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role combines account management with business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships while proactively uncovering new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell cyber security, cloud and managed service solutions.
  • Generate new business through outbound activity, referrals, networking and LinkedIn.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct consultative discovery meetings to understand customer requirements.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and present appropriate technology solutions.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with technical consultants and delivery teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within Account Management, Business Development or B2B Sales.
  • Experience selling IT, Managed Services, Cyber Security or Cloud solutions would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A consultative approach to sales.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work towards targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • A genuine interest in technology and cyber security.
