Graduate Structural Engineer Liverpool | Flexible Working I’m currently recruiting on behalf of an established and growing structural engineering consultancy seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to begin their career within a supportive engineering practice, working alongside experienced Senior Structural Engineers and gaining exposure to a varied range of projects and structural materials. The role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills through detailed design work, site experience, client interaction and the preparation of engineering reports and calculation packs, with support towards professional membership of IStructE or MICE. Key Responsibilities Working closely under the guidance and support of Senior Structural Engineers. Undertaking detailed structural design work across a range of materials. Preparing engineering calculations and calculation packs. Writing technical engineering reports and project documentation. Attending site visits and client meetings. Supporting project teams throughout the design and delivery process. Developing your understanding of structural design principles, standards and engineering best practice. Maintaining high standards of health and safety in accordance with company procedures. Taking on additional responsibilities and duties as your experience develops. About You Applicants are required to have an accredited BEng in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a similar relevant discipline. Strong numeracy skills and a good understanding of general mathematics. A genuine interest in developing a career within structural engineering. Willingness to work towards professional membership of IStructE or MICE. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively. Strong communication and presentation skills. A willingness to learn and develop technical skills within a consultancy environment. Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, TEDDS or Tekla Structures would be beneficial, although full training can be provided. Ability to work effectively as part of a wider engineering team.
