Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Building Regulations Principal Designer to join their growing team, supporting the delivery of a range of projects and ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Regulations professional with strong technical knowledge to join a well-established AJ100 practice and play a key role in ensuring projects are compliant throughout the design and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities for this Building Regulations Principal Designer role:

  • Act as Principal Designer under the Building Regulations and oversee compliance throughout the design process
  • Review and coordinate design information to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to architects, designers, clients, and project teams
  • Identify and manage Building Regulations risks throughout project lifecycles
  • Coordinate with consultants and external stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and design proposals
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure relevant compliance documentation is produced and maintained

Key Requirements for this Building Regulations Principal Designer role:

  • Strong experience within Building Regulations and technical design
  • Previous experience acting as a Principal Designer under the Building Regulations
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and associated legislation
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings and design information
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance and construction processes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with architects, consultants, and clients
  • Relevant architectural, technical, construction, or Building Control background desirable
