We are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy in Leeds seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Drainage & Infrastructure team. With a strong pipeline of development projects and continued expansion, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering drainage and infrastructure designs across a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will support projects from initial concept design through to detailed design and statutory approvals, working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders.

This role would suit an engineer who is working towards professional Chartership and looking to further develop their technical expertise within a supportive and progressive consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare drainage strategies and detailed drainage designs using InfoDrainage
  • Undertake infrastructure and earthworks design using Civil 3D
  • Design and implement Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in line with current regulations and best practice
  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and drainage statements
  • Coordinate with internal teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders
  • Support junior team members and contribute to maintaining high technical standards across projects
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in drainage and infrastructure design
  • Strong working knowledge of InfoDrainage and Civil 3D
  • Good understanding of SuDS design principles and flood risk policy
  • Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments
  • Ideally working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent) with a structured development plan
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach
