An established and highly regarded engineering consultancy in the South West is looking to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent graduate or someone with initial post-graduate experience to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare—offering a strong foundation to build your technical expertise and professional development.

As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of project delivery, from early-stage concept design through to detailed design and completion. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll contribute to the design of efficient, practical, and innovative structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the structural design of projects across a range of sectors
  • Prepare structural calculations in line with Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant design codes
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Support the coordination of structural and civil engineering design elements
  • Liaise with internal teams, including infrastructure, highways, and drainage engineers
  • Contribute to project delivery from concept through to completion
About You:
  • Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in developing a career in structural engineering
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Ability to manage workload and work on your own initiative
Desirable Skills:
  • Some experience (placement or post-graduate) within a consultancy environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Revit or Civils 3D is advantageous but not essential
