A well-established and growing multidisciplinary building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its expanding team in Northwest London.

The Role

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across a varied portfolio of projects.

You'll work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, helping deliver high-quality designs while continuing to develop your own technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical building services systems including lighting, small power, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and data installations.
  • Assist in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
  • Produce designs using industry-standard software including Auto CAD, Revit, and electrical design packages.
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical, public health, structural, and architectural teams.
  • Attend client meetings, design team meetings, and site visits when required.
  • Ensure designs comply with current British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Support senior engineers with project delivery while taking ownership of your own workload.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious, and eager to continue developing their career within building services consultancy.

You'll ideally have

  • A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Around 2–5 years' experience within a building services consultancy.
  • Experience designing electrical building services for UK construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of British Standards and UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience using Auto CAD and ideally Revit and electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or Relux.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to continue learning and progressing professionally.
