An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing design team based in Harrogate. The role will involve leading the electrical design of building services systems and delivering projects from early feasibility through to detailed design and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver electrical building services designs in compliance with relevant standards
- Manage projects through all RIBA stages, from concept and feasibility to construction and handover
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and design team members
- Prepare and manage project budgets, programmes, and resource requirements
- Produce and review technical reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation, British Standards, and industry best practice
- Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians
- Contribute to technical quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
What we’re looking for:
- Degree‑qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4+ years’ post‑graduate experience in electrical building services design
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including power, lighting, life safety, and low‑voltage systems
- Proficiency in industry‑standard software
- Excellent written, numerical, and communication skills
