About the Role
Our client is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer with 1β4 years of experience to join their structural engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building and commercial projects, supporting senior engineers in the analysis, design, and delivery of structural solutions from concept through to construction. This position is ideal for an engineer seeking to develop strong technical capability while progressing towards professional chartership.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural analysis and design of building structures using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber
- Preparation of structural calculations, technical reports, and design documentation
- Production and coordination of structural drawings using industry-standard software
- Assisting with concept, detailed, and construction-stage designs
- Liaising with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Supporting site queries, inspections, and technical reviews
Requirements
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience working on building or commercial structure projects
- Good understanding of structural design principles and UK standards
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g. ETABS, Tekla, Robot, STAAD, or similar)
- Competence in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Working towards ICE or IStructE chartership (or keen to do so)
