An exciting opportunity has become available with an established and growing IT solutions provider based in Glasgow. The business provides a wide range of IT products, services and solutions to organisations across the UK, including hardware, software, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, IT support, procurement and professional services.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced New Business Account Manager to join the Glasgow sales team and drive new business growth. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious IT sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, building relationships and managing the full sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new business opportunities
  • Generate your own leads through cold calling, prospecting and networking
  • Build relationships with new customers and key decision-makers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
  • Sell a broad portfolio of IT hardware, software and services
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Achieve GP and revenue targets
  • Develop long-term customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional IT solutions

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in IT sales, ideally within an MSP, VAR or reseller
  • Proven track record of winning new business
  • Confident cold caller and proactive hunter
  • Experience selling IT hardware, software and/or services
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners, IT managers and senior decision-makers
  • Commercially driven with a strong focus on GP and revenue
  • An existing account book is highly desirable
  • Experience with accounts ranging from 100–1,000 users would be particularly relevant
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and target-driven
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
