A market leading Environmental Consultancy with offices across Scotland is searching for an Environmental Consultant to join their team in Glasgow. Alternative office locations are also available.
As an Environmental Consultant, you will join an experienced team to specialise in environmental, ecological, water quality and renewable energy projects. You will be expected to deliver the following:
- Deliver Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) and Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) services across infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- Prepare compliance documentation and ensure projects are compliant with planning regulations and Government Legislation.
- Water quality monitoring, sampling and analysis.
- Environmental assessment to highlight environmental constraints in relation to watercourses and protected species.
- Environmental audits and ecological walkovers.
- Environmental monitoring, environmental constraints mapping and mitigation strategies.
- Project planning and desk-based assessments.
- Habitat regulation assessments.
- EcIA and ecology chapters for environmental statements.
- Ecological surveys and site visits.

As an Environmental Consultant, you will be required to have a strong academic background in environmental management, hydrology or ecology and have membership of CIEEM. You will have an understanding of environmental legislation, environmental compliance and mitigation strategies for protected species. You will have experience in Ecological Clerk of Works and have experience liaising with Contractors on site to deliver environmental advice and mitigation strategies. Experience completing protected species surveys, habitat regulation assessments and environmental/water quality monitoring would also be beneficial. Candidates are required to have a valid UK driving licence to attend site visits.
