Our client is a well-established and global engineering consultancy, currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects within a supportive and technically strong environment.
The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. You will work closely with senior engineers and project teams, contributing from concept design through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural design and analysis in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Production of design calculations and technical documentation
- Coordination with architects, contractors, and external consultants
- Supporting projects through detailed design and construction stages
- Site inspections and responding to technical queries as required
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant UK codes and standards
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Typically 2–6 years’ experience in a UK structural consultancy
- Progressing towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE)
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes
- Experience using industry-standard analysis and design software
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
