My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Sustainability and Building Services Consultancy, who specialise in innovative design and Sustainable Infrastructure, are searching for an Electrical Design Engineer to their team in Reading.

Academic Background

  • BSc and/or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • HNC/HND Building Services Engineering (Electrical) or Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Experience and Skills

  • Experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing electrical designs cabling and lighting designs for residential, commercial, retail, healthcare and industrial projects using Relux and Dialux or Amtech.
  • Knowledge of Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux and AutoCAD is required.

Team and Environment

You will join a supportive team based in Reading to complete electrical cabling, lighting and fire detection designs for residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, industrial and mixed‑use developments. Candidates will be required to reside locally to work on a hybrid basis with first six months of office attendance. Excellent communication skills will be required to liaise with contractors and clients on site and to attend site visits to discuss designs and project progress.
