Do you live in Edinburgh and have drainage and infrastructure design experience? Would you like to join a market leading Consultancy based to the West of Edinburgh City Centre? This exciting Senior Drainage Engineering opportunity will offer you the chance to complete varied residential, bespoke builds, extensions, commercial, mixed-use developments across Scotland.

You will specialise in flood risk, drainage and infrastructure design and have the chance to grow a team in Edinburgh. You will manage multiple projects from pre-planning to construction phases for both Private and Public Sector Clients.

As a Senior Drainage Engineer you will be expected to complete:

  • Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Surface Water Management Plans.
  • Transport Assessments.
  • Drainage Strategies.
  • Drainage Design for mixed use developments using Site 3D.
  • Detailed designs for residential developments (S104 and S106).
  • Access road design for developments.
  • Project management of multiple projects.
  • Liaise with Clients to discuss project progress.
  • Develop new business opportunities with new and existing Clients.
  • Site visits across Scotland and The Highlands, when needed.

As a Senior Drainage Engineer you are required to have a background in hydrology or civil engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and drainage designs for residential, commercial and industrial developments using Site 3D or Causeway Flow. Experience completing transport assessments would also be beneficial.

Applicants are required to have the confidence to work autonomously as you will be required to liaise with Clients and manage multiple projects at varied design phases and complete site meetings across the region. Candidates are required to live near Edinburgh to work from the office 3-4 days a week.
