My client, a market leading MEP and Sustainability Consultancy, is searching for an MEP Engineer to join their sociable and dynamic team in Dunfermline or Edinburgh. This is a hybrid role, offering varied residential, commercial and industrial development projects for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Public Sector Clients.
You will be supported by an experienced and dynamic team and have the chance to network with Clients across London and attend Company Events including sporting events and skiing trips across Europe.
As an MEP Engineer you will complete electrical (electrical cabling and lighting) and mechanical (HVAC) designs for major residential, offices, retail, industrial and mixed-use development projects across Scotland. You will also complete on-site Pre-acquisition and Vendor Surveys for Commercial Clients.
You will be supported to complete:
- 3D design of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Cabling and lighting designs using Dialux, Relux and Amtech.
- Design to BIM level 2 in accordance with British Standards PAS 1192-5.
- Create to scale surveys of existing buildings.
- Create feasibility and condition reports for future works and liaise with Construction staff, Design Engineers, Architects and Surveyors for ongoing projects.
- Risk Assessments and cost plans for buying/selling assets.
- Run clash detection for designs and attend site visits and surveys across the region.
- Site visits with Clients to ensure projects are delivered to time and budget.

As a MEP Engineer you are required to have a BSc and/or MSc in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering and have experience working for UK based Consultancy completing detailed electrical (cabling and lighting) and mechanical (HVAC) designs for residential and commercial developments using Dialux, Relux, Amtech and/or Revit. You are also required to have a detailed knowledge of PAS 1192-5 and other relevant codes. Candidates are required to have a valid UK driving licence to visit sites and be based within commutable distance of Edinburgh or Dunfermline.
