Are you a Hydrologist who has flood risk and modelling experience? Do you live in the Central Belt of Scotland? This exciting role will offer you the chance to join a market leading Environmental Consultancy who specialise in environmental management, flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling.
You will work on varied projects spanning flood risk, drainage and natural flood management for both public and private sector clients.
As a Flood Risk Consultant, you will join an experienced team of Consultants and be expected to complete:
- Hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Flood risk assessments.
- Nutrient neutrality assessments.
- Drainage strategies.
- Hydrological assessments.
- Water Framework Directive Assessments.
- Natural flood management, wetland management and re-wilding projects.
- Flood risk mapping using ArcGIS.
- Flood Estimation.
Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to ensure projects are delivered to time and budget. Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Geography, Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments, hydrological assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
Candidates are required to be based in Edinburgh as you will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package and career development.
