The Role
This role is ideally suited to a commercially aware and technically strong Chartered Structural Engineer seeking a leadership position within a collaborative consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading structural engineering projects through all stages of delivery
- Managing and mentoring engineers and technicians
- Developing and maintaining client relationships across the region
- Supporting fee proposals, tenders, and business development activities
- Acting as a primary technical and client contact on projects
- Reviewing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant design standards and regulations
- Coordinating effectively with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered status with ICE or IStructE
- Strong consultancy experience within structural engineering
- Proven track record delivering building and infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Experience leading teams and overseeing project delivery
- Proficiency with industry-standard design software including Tekla and Tedds
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and UK Building Regulations
- BIM/Revit experience would be beneficial
