My client a market leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Water Consultant to join their Team in Cheltenham. You will work from the office on a hybrid basis. Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in hydrology, flood risk, water resources or GIS and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing hydrological risk assessments, water resource assessments, WFD Assessments and water quality. Experience of river habitat surveys, LVIAs or hydraulic modelling. You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills to write reports. As a Water Consultant you will join an experienced team to complete varied hydrological, water quality, hydro-ecology, flood risk, LVIA and water resources projects for infrastructure, renewable energy and developments across the UK. You will be trained and supported to complete; Watercourse assessments. River habitat surveys. Habitat regulation assessments. LVIA Water framework directive assessments. Water resource assessments Hydrological assessments Water quality assessments and monitoring. Data analysis of monitoring data. Flood risk assessments. GIS mapping. Climate risk and resilience assessments . Environmental permitting applications and compliance. Hydraulic modelling using Tuflow and Flood Modeller. Site visits, sampling and of river environments.
