Our client is a well-established and growing engineering consultancy delivering innovative structural and civil engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistics and development projects throughout the UK. Due to continued project wins and sustained growth, they are seeking a talented Structural Engineer with 4–5 years' industry experience to join their expanding team. The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion, taking responsibility for structural design, client interaction and project coordination. Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing a range of structures using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Producing structural calculations, technical reports and design specifications.
  • Managing your own projects and workload with support from senior engineers where required.
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors, developers and other design team members.
  • Undertaking site inspections, surveys and technical assessments.
  • Reviewing drawings and ensuring compliance with current design standards and regulations.
  • Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers.
  • Contributing to project delivery within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Working towards or progressing within a Chartered Engineer pathway if not already chartered.

The Candidate

We are interested in speaking with candidates who possess:

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng).
  • Approximately 4–5 years' experience within a UK engineering consultancy environment.
  • Experience designing building structures across a range of sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Proficiency in structural design and analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, MasterSeries or similar.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit/BIM workflows.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Progress towards IStructE or ICE Chartership would be advantageous.
