The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with at least five years of industry experience to play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects from concept through to completion. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing practical, efficient and compliant mechanical engineering solutions while collaborating with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical engineering solutions for a range of industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Produce engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports and design documentation.
- Develop detailed mechanical layouts, equipment specifications and installation drawings.
- Support the selection and specification of mechanical equipment, piping systems, rotating equipment and associated components.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and client specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and project planning activities.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and value engineering.
- Assist with technical problem-solving and provide engineering support on existing systems where required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer position.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and relevant British and international design standards.
- Experience delivering engineering projects within sectors such as energy, industrial, infrastructure, utilities or process engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar design packages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to agreed timescales.
