I’m working on behalf of a well-established, employee-owned engineering and environmental consultancy to support the continued growth of their air quality capability. With a strong forward workload and a collaborative ownership culture that genuinely rewards contribution, they are now looking to appoint an Associate Air Quality Consultant to play a key role within the team.

My client is a highly regarded, independent consultancy operating across the built environment, infrastructure and sustainability sectors. The Role
As a Principal / Associate Air Quality Consultant, you will take a leading role in shaping and delivering the air quality service, with responsibilities spanning:
- Technical: Leading and reviewing air quality assessments for planning and EIA projects; Managing complex dispersion modelling and technical outputs; Acting as a senior technical authority within the team.
- Commercial: Supporting and leading fee proposals and bids; Managing project finances and ensuring strong commercial outcomes; Building trusted, long-term client relationships.
- Leadership & Management: Line management, mentoring and development of junior and mid-level consultants; Overseeing workload planning, quality assurance and technical standards; Contributing to the strategic growth of the air quality discipline.
About You
- Strong consultancy background in air quality
- Proven experience delivering and reviewing complex projects
- Comfortable balancing technical delivery with commercial responsibility
- Experience managing or mentoring staff (or ready to step into this level)
- Confident communicator with clients and multidisciplinary teams
