Are you an Assistant Hydrologist who has flood estimation experience? Would you like to work for a market leading Consultancy offering remote working? This exciting role will offer you the chance to join a market leading Environmental and Flood Risk Consultancy who specialise in model development, flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling GIS and environmental management.
You will work on varied and complex flood risk and hydrological projects for public and private sector clients across the UK.
As an Assistant Hydrologist, you will join a specialist team of Consultants and Scientists to complete varied technical work including:
- Flood Estimation using FEH Rainfall Analysis
- Surface Water and catchment management plans
- Data Analysis and interpretation
- Flood risk assessments
- Nutrient neutrality assessments
- Hydrological assessments
- Water Quality Assessments
- Natural flood management
- Flood risk mapping using ArcGIS
Training in hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow will be provided. Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Geography, Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood estimation using FEH. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience using ArcGIS and completing rainfall analysis. Candidates are required to be based ideally in the South West of England but all UK locations will be considered.
