My client is looking to add an Architectural Technician/Technologist to their Shipley team, with the role offering the chance to work across a varied portfolio of hospitality, residential, and commercial projects. The position would suit a technically focused individual looking to take responsibility for producing detailed, coordinated information across live projects.
You’ll work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams, contributing to projects from planning through to technical delivery and construction. There is scope to take ownership of your work while continuing to develop within an established and collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities for this Architectural Technologist/Technician role:
• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction information across a range of projects
• Prepare planning, building regulations, and technical drawing packages using AutoCAD
• Develop detailed design information in line with project requirements and relevant regulations
• Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams to coordinate information
• Assist with resolving technical queries throughout project delivery
• Attend design team and site meetings where required
• Ensure drawings and technical information are accurate, coordinated, and delivered to project deadlines
Requirements for this Architectural Technologist/Technician role:
• Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK architectural practice
• Experience across hospitality, residential, or commercial projects is desirable
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
• Good technical detailing and construction knowledge
• Understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant technical standards
• Experience producing planning and technical drawing packages
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider project team
