Aztrum is pleased to be working alongside a highly regarded, award-winning architectural practice located in Bishop Stortford. Known for their expertise in residential projects, this innovative studio is growing their head office team to accommodate a rising workload. They are now looking to appoint a motivated and skilled Part 2 Architectural Assistant with housebuilding experience and the ability to run projects, assisting in the production of planning and technical design packages across a variety of residential-led developments nationwide.

Key responsibilities for the Part 2 Architectural Assistant:

  • Contribute to the design and progression of residential projects across multiple RIBA stages.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects and support the running of larger schemes.
  • Support and lead the preparation of documentation for planning submissions.
  • Translate client requirements into clear, compelling design outputs.
  • Create annotated drawings and presentation materials to articulate design vision.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver project milestones.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, and local authorities across the UK.

Key requirements for the Part 2 Architectural Assistant:

  • RIBA Part 2 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience within a UK architectural practice, ideally within residential or masterplanning sectors.
  • Strong housebuilding experience, with an understanding of developer-led schemes.
  • Ability to run projects or take ownership of project packages with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience dealing with planning authorities and private clients is advantageous.
