We are currently working in partnership with a well-established, multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer as part of its continued growth.
Our client is a respected regional practice delivering architecture, civil & structural engineering, building services and project management across a wide range of sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a collaborative, technically focused culture, they offer an excellent environment for career progression.
The Role
This position will see you joining a growing structural team delivering projects across residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments throughout the Midlands and beyond.
You will be given genuine responsibility and exposure to projects from concept through to completion, working closely with in-house architects, civil engineers and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Structural design in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry
- Producing calculations, drawings and technical reports
- Coordinating with internal multidisciplinary teams
- Attending client meetings and site visits
- Supporting junior engineers (depending on level)
About You
We are keen to speak with Structural Engineers who have:
- 2–6+ years’ experience within a UK consultancy environment
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience designing building structures
- Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations
- Experience using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, ETABS, Robot or similar
- Ambition to achieve Chartership (ICE or IStructE), if not already chartered
