My client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing building services consultancy team. The role involves delivering mechanical building services design, providing technical advice to clients, and supporting multi-disciplinary project teams across a wide range of development types.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design for commercial, industrial, medical, residential, retail, mixed-use and extra-care schemes.
- Produce technical drawings, reports and specifications.
- Liaise directly with clients and external teams on technical matters.
- Manage and coordinate projects, suppliers and contractors.
- Promote sustainable design principles.
- Use industry-standard software, including EDSL TAS.
- Apply detailed knowledge of relevant British Standards, Codes of Practice and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience in mechanical building services design.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to prioritise workload and work collaboratively within a team.
