My Client, a market leading Consultancy based in Birmingham, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk Modeller to join their team. You will work on varied projects spanning flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling and natural flood management for both public and private sector clients across the Midlands. You will join a bespoke team and help to grow the business.
As a Principal Flood Risk Modeller, you will join an experienced team of Consultants and be expected to complete:
- Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Flood risk assessments.
- Nutrient neutrality assessments.
- Hydrological assessments.
- Water Framework Directive Assessments.
- Natural flood management, wetland management and re-wilding projects.
- Flood risk mapping and estimation using ArcGIS.
- Drainage Strategies.
- Surface Water Management Plans.
Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop new opportunities and ensure projects are delivered to time and budget. Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Geography, Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. Candidates are required to be based in the Midlands to work from the office on a hybrid basis.
