An established building services consultancy in Solihull is looking to appoint a BIM Lead to join its growing team. This is a key role that will work closely with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to support the firm's BIM strategy and project outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and control of project information within Common Data Environments, ensuring compliance with agreed protocols and maintaining data security.
  • Carry out model validation, including geometric coordination and data quality assurance.
  • Provide technical problem-solving support, addressing issues efficiently as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific training documentation.
  • Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and workshops, ensuring knowledge transfer back into the organisation.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential project information in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and manage linked models, coordinating multidisciplinary models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets, workflows, and initial project setup.
  • Assist with the deployment and integration of BIM-related software solutions.
  • Perform day-to-day model administration, maintenance, and quality control.

  • Strong knowledge of UK BIM standards and digital construction best practice.

  • Proficiency in BIM authoring and coordination tools.
