An established building services consultancy in Solihull is looking to appoint a BIM Lead to join its growing team. This is a key role that will work closely with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to support the firm's BIM strategy and project outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and control of project information within Common Data Environments, ensuring compliance with agreed protocols and maintaining data security.
- Carry out model validation, including geometric coordination and data quality assurance.
- Provide technical problem-solving support, addressing issues efficiently as they arise.
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific training documentation.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and workshops, ensuring knowledge transfer back into the organisation.
- Manage sensitive and confidential project information in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and manage linked models, coordinating multidisciplinary models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets, workflows, and initial project setup.
- Assist with the deployment and integration of BIM-related software solutions.
- Perform day-to-day model administration, maintenance, and quality control.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a BIM Lead, BIM Manager, or senior BIM role within the built environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK BIM standards and digital construction best practice.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and influence others.
