Aztrum is delighted to be working with a consultancy who are seeking a BIM Technician with a passion for digital design and precision modelling to support our growing team of architects and engineers. You’ll play a critical role in the development and coordination of 3D models and 2D documentation, contributing to a wide range of projects across various sectors.
Role of a BIM Technician:
- Create and maintain precise BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other industry-standard software.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure fully coordinated design solutions.
- Prepare detailed construction documentation, including drawings, schedules, and supporting materials.
- Oversee the organization and upkeep of project BIM files in alignment with internal and client-specific standards.
- Support the execution of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and assist in streamlining project workflows.
- Identify and resolve modeling issues while ensuring consistent quality control across all project deliverables.
Qualifications required for this BIM Technician role:
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360, or other BIM tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, or MEP design principles.
- 2+ years of experience in a BIM Technician or similar CAD-based role.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 19650.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Degree, diploma, or certification in architecture, engineering, drafting, or a related field.
