We are currently working with a well-established structural engineering consultancy in Kent who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer with strong residential experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice with a solid pipeline of residential work ranging from bespoke housing to multi-unit developments.
The Role
- Structural design and analysis on UK residential projects (new build and refurbishment)
- Projects include low- and mid-rise residential schemes, extensions, and mixed-use developments
- Preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Coordination with architects, developers, and contractors
- Involvement across all project stages, from concept through to construction
- Opportunity to mentor junior staff, depending on experience
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Proven experience delivering UK residential projects
- Strong understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes
- Experience designing in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
- Proficiency with structural analysis/design software
- Excellent communication skills
- Working towards or already chartered (IStructE or ICE desirable)
