An independent, employee-owned acoustic consultancy is looking to appoint an Acoustic Consultant to support the continued growth of its London-based team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an early-career professional (typically with 2–5 years' experience) to join a forward-thinking business that blends technical excellence with social and environmental purpose.

About the Company

Our client is a mission-driven, values-led consultancy specialising in acoustic design and environmental noise services. With offices in London and along the South Coast, they are known for their thoughtful, collaborative approach to projects across the built environment, infrastructure, and planning sectors. As an employee-owned business, they offer all team members a voice and a stake in the future of the company. Their culture is supportive, inclusive, and non-hierarchical—with a genuine commitment to professional development, wellbeing, and flexible working.

The Role

As an Acoustic Consultant, you will work on a diverse range of projects—contributing to assessments, modelling, and client engagement. The role will include:

  • Supporting and delivering environmental and/or building acoustics projects
  • Carrying out site visits and baseline noise/vibration surveys
  • Using modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN) to analyse and visualise data
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and internal teams
  • Contributing to a culture of learning, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and committed acoustics professional who:

  • Has around 2–5 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy
  • Holds a degree in Acoustics or a related discipline (e.g., Physics, Environmental Science)
  • Is comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Holds or is working towards IOA membership
  • Has a full UK driving licence

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • Profit share through employee ownership
  • Flexible, hybrid working environment
  • A flat-structured, collaborative team culture
  • Generous training and development support
  • Purpose-driven projects with real community and environmental impact

This is an ideal next step for a consultant looking to build their career in a people-first consultancy that blends technical work with a genuine focus on sustainability and wellbeing.
