Reports to the Senior People Operations Manager

The purpose of this position is to develop and manage the People Operations function providing support across the Aztec Group. With an emphasis on the employee experience and leveraging our technology. Alongside accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement, the People Operations Manager will need to deliver service excellence, to meet our business objectives, aligned to the Aztec values.

What you\’ll be doing

  • Proactively manage a small team of People Operations specialists, delivering services across all jurisdictions, ensuring appropriate skills and expertise are developed.
  • Responsible for setting team and individual objectives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and cross-jurisdictional knowledge sharing to build a future-ready team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in key People Operations processes, supporting the development of specialised capabilities within the team. Assess where processes can be streamlined or better managed.
  • Ensure colleagues have access to relevant information on your specialisms via self service and oversee query management ensuring a seamless and human-centric employee experience.
  • Set high standards of accuracy, timeliness and professionalism and monitor the distribution of work, to drive service excellence to add value to the business.
  • Act as a performance improvement driver by establishing and maintaining employee experience focused SLA’s and KPI’s for the People Operations team in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date HR analytics/management information and reporting, continually monitoring and updating statistical data to identify and report trends to drive improvements.
  • Work cross functionally and across locations to best deliver services and a consistent employee experience in such a way that enhances the People team’s reputation and credibility with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with People Team colleagues, the business and suppliers to ensure positive relations are fostered and support efficient and fit-for-purpose service.
  • Proactively undertake reviews of the Employee lifecycle to ensure our HRIS (Workday), processes and procedures instil a continuous improvement culture leading positively by example.
  • Understand technology developments and best practices, lead implementation and ensure People technology is used to its full potential to ensure maximum efficiency. Champion a ‘Workday-first’ approach, leveraging automation and system capabilities to streamline and scale operations.
  • Work with Aztec’s external pre-screening provider to ensure all employees are fully screened prior to joining the Group to a satisfactory standard according to Group policies and procedures.

What we\’re looking for

  • Previous practical, hands on experience of People Operations including the New Joiner and Leaver processes
  • Experience of working in a busy, multijurisdictional People department, providing excellent customer service to employees of all levels
  • Previous experience of leading a team and managing staff in a supervisiory capacity at minimum
  • Good working knowledge of People technology and systems, especially Workday or similar HRIS
  • Good understanding of local employment legislation and its practical application as well as an appreciation of the standards that are expected within a regulated environment
  • Strong internal and external communication and interpersonal skills, together with the proven ability to develop good working relationships at all levels within the business and with other service providers
  • Awareness of industry best practice in People Operations and of developments in all jurisdictions in which the Group operates to ensure effective levels of application
  • Excellent administration, numeracy, data entry skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literacy skills are essential; advanced user of MS Office products
  • Proven ability to problem solve and quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, identify and deal with problems

You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as close working relationships between our colleagues and clients is at the heart of what we do.
