The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Reports to the Group Head of Private Equity. This role is accountable for the oversight of both delivery and development of the Private Equity Asset Class in Southampton. This role forms part of the wider Strategic Leadership Team for Private Equity, which makes up the Private Equity Oversight Committee - tasked with strategic oversight of the Private Equity business across all service lines and geographies.
Supporting a planned growth strategy, you will collaborate with Client and Market Development teams to shape and drive the Business Development Strategy for Private Equity and convert new business opportunities into successful client relationships. The scope of this role covers the full suite of Aztec’s services and as such this role will collaborate with product/service leads beyond the core Fund and Corporate Services products to ensure we are maximising cross-selling opportunities, developing an aligned client proposition and growing market share across all areas of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accountable for the leadership of the PE asset class team within Southampton to deliver high levels of employee motivation and engagement, building and maintaining strong, trusting and authentic relationships with the teams.

- Decision-making - critical decisions affecting the business must be sound, rational and accepted by the business.
- Manage relationships and resolve conflicts within PE teams, other internal business partners and externally with clients and suppliers.
- Negotiation to resolve issues to move the business forward in line with agreed plans.
- Accountable for the design and delivery of a business plan for the growth and delivery of the Private Equity Asset Class in Southampton, for approval by the PE Oversight Committee.
- Accountable for PE Southampton performance against approved budgets/reforecasts, revenue targets and other KPIs, ensuring that the Private Equity team meets targets and fully contributes to the success of the wider Aztec business.
- Collaborate with leaders across all product lines (including Fund, Corporate, Depositary, Tax, AIFM and ESG Services) to ensure an aligned client experience, support cross-selling opportunities within existing clients, and ensure joined up proposals for new prospects.
- Acting as the point of senior escalation within Southampton, for significant issues related to Private Equity Clients to ensure speedy and satisfactory resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Team to develop a network of meaningful contacts including prospects and influencers in order to grow Aztec’s Private Equity business.
- Collaborate with the Client Service and PE Operations teams to ensure that transformation and change initiatives are developed and deployed effectively to support the Private Equity strategy, acting as active sponsor where required and deploying resources on key initiatives to ensure success.
- Assess client satisfaction for all services provided within the Private Equity Asset Class for Southampton, and ensure a proactive approach is taken to any additional service opportunities or substandard service provision.
- This role is a member of the Private Equity Oversight Committee, which has collective accountability for the setting and ongoing management of the group-wide strategy for the Private Equity Asset Class across all geographies.
- This role will chair the Management Group for Southampton, to ensure all aspects of the PE Asset Class business is proactively managed to deliver the objectives/KPIs agreed with the PE Oversight Board and that appropriate action is taken to correct any divergence.
- Provide clients with an excellent experience by maintaining and building client relationships to support the D&ADs and teams responsible for those clients, and act as the highest “in-geography” authority in the event of any issues within the client teams.
- Accountable for ensuring that robust staff succession and career progression plans are developed.
- Coaching, development and objective setting for direct reports and senior team members.
What we’re looking for:
- Candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CGi qualified.
- Considerable practical business and post qualification experience in the Financial Services sector with a focus on Fund Administration and/or Accounting.
- Sound technical professional services knowledge.
- Strong relationship building capabilities.
