The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.
What you'll be doing:
- Bookkeep a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures.
- Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries.
- Deal with the completion of routine audit queries and liaise with clients and intermediaries.
- Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment.
- Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and other payments.
- Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of management.
What we're looking for:
- The candidate will ideally hold a relevant Accounting qualification (preferably ACCA or ACA).
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements is essential.
- Experience of reviewing statutory accounts.
- Proficient in the use of Excel, new systems and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Previous experience of training, coaching/mentoring of junior staff.
- Previous industry experience in Fund Administration is desirable but not essential.
