Reports to Power Platform and Cloud Solutions Manager

We are looking for a Solution and Automation Developer to join our growing Solution and Automation team. This role will play a key part in designing, building, and delivering high‑quality digital solutions that automate business processes and improve the way colleagues and clients interact with our services.
As a developer, you will combine low‑code and pro‑code development to deliver enterprise‑grade applications, integrations, and workflow automation. You will work primarily with Microsoft Power Platform and Camunda, collaborating with business and technology teams to create solutions that are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned to our governance framework.
You will also contribute to shaping our delivery standards, promoting best practices, and supporting the wider team as we continue to mature our digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Camunda, translating business requirements into robust technical architectures.
- Develop high‑quality low‑code and pro‑code solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse, SharePoint Online solutions.
- Build and maintain workflow orchestration and BPMN‑based processes using Camunda, ensuring automations are scalable, maintainable, and observable.
- Design and implement integrations between enterprise systems, APIs, and automation platforms, applying modern architectural and engineering practices.
- Extend low‑code solutions with traditional development using C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Azure services where required.
- Work within Aztec’s governance policies and best practices, including data protection, security, backup, restore, disaster recovery, monitoring, auditing, licensing and capacity planning.
- Provide technical leadership, contributing to development standards, reusable frameworks, and mentoring team members across low‑code and pro‑code projects.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and delivery teams to support agile delivery, continuous improvement, and the successful rollout of automation solutions across the organisation.
- Provide limited third‑line support, stepping in where deep technical expertise or complex troubleshooting is required to resolve issues.
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience designing and delivering scalable automation and workflow solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Designing, developing and Documenting applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Experience developing and integrating solutions with SharePoint Online.
- Ability to combine low code platforms with traditional software development.
- Ability to translate business requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions.
- Experience with one or more of the following languages: C#, Java, JavaScript / TypeScript.
- API integration, including REST and event driven patterns.
- Experience with databases modelling best practices (Microsoft SQL Server, Dataverse, SharePoint lists and other necessary data structures).
- Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, Power App Connectors Azure Functions etc) design and implementation.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems and services.
- Experience building automation solutions for operational processes.
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration and process lifecycle management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Knowledge of secure development practices and platform governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across both technical and business domains.
- Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to engineering quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience implementing workflows using Camunda or another BPMN platform.
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (Power Automate Desktop, UiPath, Blue Prism).
- Experience with MuleSoft or equivalent integration platform.
- Experience with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management).
- Exposure to microservice architecture and event driven design patterns.
- Familiarity with Power Platform ALM, solution layering, and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience mentoring junior developers/support analysts or supporting capability uplift.
- Understanding of observability tooling (Application Insights, logging frameworks).
- Experience with other automation or workflow engines.
- Microsoft Certified in Power Platform.
- Camunda Developer certified.
- Awareness of AI capabilities in Azure and Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience or interest in AI‑assisted coding.
