About the role:
- Reports to Financial Reporting Manager
- With continued growth across the Aztec Group, we're always on the lookout for bright individuals to join our journey and help support current and future business needs. What you'll be doing:
- Bookkeep a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries.
- Work directly with the client to help test and improve the investor quarterly reports and year end accounts.
- Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries.
- Deal with the completion of routine audit queries.
- Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment.
- Maintain accurate records on Investran and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and other payments.
- Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff.
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
- The candidate will be expected to be at least part-qualified with a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACCA or ACA).
- 3+ years Fund Accounting experience is essential.
- Experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements is required.
- Experience of reviewing statutory accounts is desirable.
- Competent computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Previous coaching/mentoring of junior staff would be beneficial.

You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as close working relationships between our colleagues and clients is at the heart of what we do.
