About the role

Reports to Associate Director – Markets Technology Services.

With continued growth across the Aztec Group, our Technology teams are expanding to support current and future business needs.

This role works alongside colleagues in the Markets Technology Applications team (MTS) to provide the best possible experience of Aztec’s client servicing applications suite, delivering a service offering that differentiates us from our competitors.

Responsibilities include creating requirement documents with client‑facing teams, configuring new system functionality, supporting integration feeds and automation, preparing training materials, deploying changes, designing processes to improve operational efficiencies, and acting as the face of the team for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Application

Management: Coordinate and execute the roadmap for Yardi, Blueprint and Viewpoint, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the broader technology strategy; support adoption and integration of these applications to deliver value across operational and client‑facing teams; identify, prioritise and implement improvements or new features.

  • Data Management and

Integrations: Ensure effective data governance across all applications; develop and oversee integration strategies to enable seamless data flow between applications and enterprise systems such as e Front and Yardi; promote APIs and middleware to streamline data sharing; advocate for master data management practices.

  • Innovation and

Adoption: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in data management, integrations and client‑facing solutions that differentiate Aztec Group; promote innovative approaches to enhance efficiency, scalability and client satisfaction.

  • Partner

Management: Build relationships with third‑party vendors; oversee vendor roadmaps and developments; manage contracts and SLAs, ensuring alignment with operational needs.

  • Operational

Excellence: Monitor application performance, ensuring high availability, security and compliance; define KPIs and metrics; oversee incident management, root cause analysis and remediation.

  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of application configuration and technical specialists; provide technical guidance on data architecture, integrations and optimisation.
  • Stakeholder

Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams; support pre‑sales and onboarding activities with subject‑matter expertise on data integration, reporting and application capabilities.

Skills, knowledge, expertise

  • Data Management Expertise: Understanding of governance, quality and lifecycle management; experience implementing MDM practices.
  • Excellent communication: Clear, confident communication at all levels; inspirational, avoiding technical jargon.
  • Integration Knowledge: Proficient in APIs, middleware and data pipelines; ability to enable seamless interoperability.
  • Strategic Vision: Align technology and data initiatives with business objectives; translate complex requirements into actionable roadmaps.

Expertise: Familiarity with application architecture, cloud technologies and reporting solutions, with a focus on financial services systems such as e Front, Yardi, Viewpoint.

  • Team Supervision: Proven experience supervising cross‑functional teams, fostering engagement and innovation.
  • Client‑Centric Approach: Strong understanding of client needs in financial services; ensure applications and integrations deliver exceptional value.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, data management or a finance related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technology, data management or applications management roles within financial services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong track record of delivering integrated application solutions and data strategies.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, ETL tools and middleware platforms.
  • Familiarity with Aztec’s key platforms (e Front, Yardi, Viewpoint, Blueprint, Fenergo, Investran, Medius and client‑facing portals).
  • Previous practical IT Application Support Management experience within a financial services business, supported by a relevant professional qualification.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills; broad technical understanding of a wide range of applications and technologies, including cloud.
  • Ability to supervise a team in alignment with Aztec Group values; strong internal and external communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures; meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems.
  • Occasional travel to other jurisdictional offices will be required.
