The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Reports to the Head of Strategic Bids. The Strategic Bid Manager will drive successful private market bid submissions, managing the end‑to‑end bid process and collaborating with stakeholders across functions and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate projects, running a detailed qualification process for each opportunity.
  • Conduct relationship mapping exercises, create action plans and establish win themes and value propositions.
  • Coordinate and manage the Aztec response to tender processes, providing project management from opportunity identification through to win/loss decision.
  • Develop detailed project plans with timelines, tasks and dependencies, coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Create tailored materials (proposals, pitch decks, etc.) and coordinate rehearsals and presentation preparation.
  • Identify and assess bid risks, develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Design and subject‑matter experts to develop persuasive, client‑focused content that reinforces brand messaging.
  • Support content management framework and market research projects as required.
  • Lead proposal creation, ensuring alignment with client requirements and showcasing Aztec’s strengths.
  • Conduct post‑bid analysis to evaluate success and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide best‑practice support and advice to colleagues on opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in bidding and proposal management.
  • Support and develop junior team members in bid‑management tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with the team and the business, providing regular reporting and feedback.
  • Contribute to business‑wide improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven track record in coordinating and winning complex private market bids.
  • Experience in project and bid management, with a demonstrated record of success.
  • People‑management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working with delivery teams in the US is beneficial.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship‑building abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver high‑quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to coach, develop and motivate teams in person and virtually.
  • Self‑driven, enthusiastic and proactive, comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercially astute with advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Experience within a financial services organisation is advantageous but not essential.
